Are You Ready!? Mentally and Physically Ready

Hi! Good day to you.

So, before we move forward, let’s go over a few things. Training for better health or wanting to transform your body into looking great is a decision you made. That in itself, is great! Whether your doctor told you, your boyfriend or girlfriend, husband or wife, think it would benefit you. Whether you want to get that great looking body for whatever reason, it’s a great plan.

There are so many benefits, besides the ones I’ve mentioned, that are so good for you. I will go over that shortly. Training is a commitment and a lifestyle folks. So really ask yourself, “is this something, I’m going to do?” I’m saying all this, because it’s important to realize your mental aspect, and physical aspect of it.

Ok, the physical part first. Do you have any health issues that would hinder progress in your training goals. If so, maybe go see your doctor, ask someone, google, to see if your healthy enough to start. You don’t want to waste time and money. You may have thyroid issues, that would be frustrating, if you’re not losing the weight you want to lose. Bad liver or kidneys, diabetes, joint pain, bad back, previous injuries; It’s simply your choice of course, and I would encourage you regardless, because working out, strengthens all ailments!!. But I want to be responsible in saying, if your body isn’t functioning properly, it could take a little longer for the results you want. So let’s make sure your up to it!

Now, the mental part. My personal theory on the mental aspect of training is this: “you are already looking good and feeling good”. What I mean by this is, before you even get started on this journey, think very positive. Think like you are already trim and lean. Or you are already big and muscular like the “Hulk”. Think like , very soon, I will do a marathon run in New York City. Put these images in your head, and it will drive you!. Trust me, it works. So what if you’re a little overweight. That person is gone now. Even your very first day of training, be thinking this way. You are already sexy ladies. Don’t place “stumbling blocks” in your mind. If you do, you will lose interest very, very quickly. Your training will be extremely difficult. You will defeat yourself and never accomplish your goal. You will dread training. The fact that you made a decision to. better yourself, makes you automatically feel and look better.

Guys. Put that image of that physique you want, and your workouts will be so much easier, because you’re on a contract to build that body!..It will be fun seeing your body, building and building and building, and then you’re driven even more, to then , chase more results and goals. Make sense? Try this theory people. That’s what I did when I started running and doing push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, 40 years ago. I was determined to be this physical machine that I envisioned in my head. It worked. It takes practice. It takes determination. If you do this right, you “will” see results sooner than you think.

High intensity and consistency are my two favorite secrets. Take your time, little by little you will grow. When you workout, be intense during that hour or two hours. High Intensity workouts will “stick” and you will be encouraged to get to the next workout. If you half-do your workouts, you will get defeated and quit. Get the most out of it. You get what you pay for.

Move with confidence. Walk with confidence. Run with confidence. Lift those weights with confidence. You’re in control. When you’re in the gym, or at the park working out, at the beach jogging, riding your bike, swimming for exercise, move with style and elegance. Create a presence, that will have people staring at you, wondering “what’s going on with that person?” Move with purpose. People, this mental aspect transforms right to the physical. It’s “key” for success. Don’t look at training as a chore. Look at it as a personal challenge, an adventure.

Training is a necessity , as it stimulates your mind. So this carries off in all areas of your life. Making you mentally and physically stronger. You get my point? Ha!

Until next time, get fit, and stay fit. We’re in this together….
